Easter 2009

here is the "post sugar" picture of Evan @ 8am. Like every good parent we tried to make them eat a good breakfast on Easter! hes just a character!
Easter Morning, The kids scored once again! and for the record, Kate didn't have that whole couch worth of stuff! we also decided to spoil Audrey this year, even though she is in Utero! what do you expect? I actually got her an easter dress...

In the new Easter clothes, Derek was wonderful to take these so I could finish getting ready, I said do them outside, so he choses in front of the dirt across the street! (and didn't straighten the kids clothes out) Oh well!

This is how it really is 99% of the time! Kate day dreaming, and the boys fighting!

Kate and baby Kellie have the same dress! The easter bunny found a great deal at Burlington around Xmas, so fun!

All in all, we had a great day! We went to church and ate! (I HAD NO CANDY AND LIVED!!!!) It was great to focus on the Savior and remind the kids of the true meaning of Easter. The kids got a ton of candy and toys of course! We really loved having Colette and her family over! Kate refers to Leyton as "Little Brother!" We will have fun this week in St George! cant wait! We will miss Derek though :( On the other hand, how great would it be if things were reversed and he took the kids away for 3 full days?

The Easter Egg Hunt

Daddy helped Kate keep up, and they had so much fun! The Rain let up for a minute! Theres Evan booking it past the babies!
Kate and Kylie!

Evan hunting around! (also Kylies half face!)

The kids loved getting too much candy! and the bubbles were a hit!

The boys favorite was finding the Money eggs!

Conner was nice enough to share his extra with Kate!

We always have so much fun with all of Dereks family at their wonderful gatherings!

Kate loved finding all the candy epecially the Chocolate!
Mommy misses sugar and didn't budge from my strict ways! it was SUPER hard! I was diagnosed w/ Gestational Diabetes this pregnancy! SUPER bummer let me tell you! I have lost over 5 lbs, but with days like today it takes evrything you got not to give in! the baby is more than worth it! I just hate testing my blood 4 times a day! Being that I have already had a 10 lb baby, I really need to watch my diet or I will have a C-section, which no one wants, and a 12+ lb baby! Enough of that... Dereks family had another fun family gathering @ Jaynes in Mapleton, it was a little soggy, but the kids had so much fun! We were supposed to be in St George, but the weather is supposed to be really wet down there and the usually nice weather is half the fun there, so we decided to stay here! I am taking the kids on Tues-Fri for Spring Break with Colette and Leyton one more time before the babies come and we cant all fit in my van! It should be better weather 70s-80s. Cant wait for Easter tommorrow, Colette, Leyton and Kyle are coming for dinner! Hopefully I get a good picture of the kids dressed up in their new clothes!

Oh Conner!

So Conner told me to look at his class blog yesterday, Mrs. Busch put a picture of him mad because he didnt break the class pinata! Here he is in his prime! I dont know what to quite make of it! Is he being silly or serious? He says he wasn't serious, but I thought this was funny! Also while we are on Conner... He has been growing up so fast before our eyes! The kids is freakishly tall, and getting taller, but the real thing is the fact he revealed to Evan he dreams about "Hot Girls!" He is 8, so I am assuming its all innocent, but He has really started to check out hot girls, like the ones on HSM 3 according to Evan! He also has gained my sarcastic tone, and some of the phrases I say, it makes him sound 15! "thats lame" is his new favorite. Well there could be worse things to worry about! He is such a sweetheart, and I hate to see him grow so fast!

This is Kate at her formal birthday party held on the 19th at Jumpin' Jacks!

Here is the party before we moved to Jumpin' Jacks! We had Pizza and Cupcakes first at our house, Daddy even made the journey home for lunch to be there!

Here are some friends to help with the cupcakes!

We had so much fun helping Kate have a blast this week! Can't believe how time flies! Soon she will not be"THEE" baby in the family, but she has just been fun from day 1, well actually day 2 since she was born w/out an epidural! So far some of the highlights are her broken arm, her MASSIVE fear of bugs, her love of all things princess and Disneyland for that matter. She thinks she is "little Mommy", she even told me she hears Audrey all the time in my belly and can make her be quiet! She is a mamas girl! Loves to shop! Loves all of her gowns, slippers, and bags! She loves her beautiful locks of golden hair! She loves our dog Hallie more than anyone! She is almost done w/ her 1st yr of preschool! She is really tall for her age! She cant wait to play Soccer in the Fall! Her favorite thing in the world is her BF Claire Maloy! We feel she is the prettiest girl ever! WE LOVE YOU!

Happy Day!

Okay World! Not to ruin the surprise, 'cause I'm so good with secrets... Baby #4's name is Audrey, and its to stay because I painted the letters! We of course will take Kates pics out and put hers in later! She is having Kates old room.
This is Audreys Quilt, we haven't brought up the crib, but I hung the Quilt! It was Kates, but its still good and I love the colors! Although BFF Heidis making me, err um Audrey an amazing one so we will see what the final room looks like! Heidis quilt has the same colors, just cuter!

This is Kates new room, a work in progress.. she cant wait to play the piano, and she loves to sing and play in her room all day, with Claire of course...

This is Conners old bed/guest bed. Kate now has Evans old room and a Queen bed! The picture above the bed is of her @18 mo, we finally put it to use! This bedding is from our first Apts guest room 10 yrs ago in Provo. Kate saw it in the DI pile and loved it, so what do you do? I do have this amazing idea for her room though, so I am thinking this is temporary... Derek thinks I am crazy for wanting to change it, but her room needs beadboard, and I can't wait to make Derek put it up!!!! Also there is this amazing comforter @ Target I cant resist... So be prepared guests, to sleep in the pink room now!
Kate now has a walk-in closet, and everything fits so nicely! Someone pointed out she has a lot of clothes, but they get to be passed on now! She also has a dresser full.... She loves to shop, and its so fun with her, plus Daddy spoils her rotten and can't say no, we'll see how it is w/2 girls now!

This is as neat as we could make thier newly shared closet until we build some toy shelves in the basement!

This is the dresser we refer to as Big Blue! Its been every color, as it was built by Dereks G-Pa Jay Nielson in 1947 when Dereks Dad was born. Its fun to have something sentimental! Now it has an XBOX inside! Times have changed!
The boys now share! They wanted to! This is the biggest room, it was Conners old one. We took the Bunk apart and they love it! These quilts are 6 yrs old, but I am still Rockin' em. Conners against the wall. I was planning on doing this awesome WWII theme, but before I knew it, Derek slaps these out of control Halo Video game vinyl stickers on their walls and they are apparently NEVER coming down, so I am gonna leave there mix-n-match room alone!
SHES ALIVE! See!!! we really do have a cat! Roxy is always in the boys room. Shes also 4 and tiny, the one petite thing in our household!

Look how cute she is! Whenever I am on the computer, which is SO rare... Hallie sits so nice! Sidenote: She has these really cool "Cullen"esque golden eyes, there fun, but freaky too!

Do you ever have those wonderful moments, when everything just comes together in one wonderful moment and you realize how wonderful life is, and how much you love every piece of it? This has been my life this past two weeks and its funny I don't remember that feeling disappearing, but I felt it come back so strongly. I love that my kids are mine and who they are, chubby or not! They are wonderful and such a blessing and each so unique and cool... Happy that I am married to Derek, I may have mentioned that one in my dedication to him this past month! Happy that my Dog is cool, and is easy even though we haven't done a thing with her training wise, on that note I am even happy the cat is around more due to her fascination of the dog! I love my current town, thankful for my hometown, and after our trip thankful for the realization that I know I belong here, I always thought it was there. I love my new friends and my old ones, especially the ones who let me VENT for hours about life, but mostly stupid things that don't mean anything to them! Its really good right now. The Grand Daddy of them all is of course feeling Audrey move, a near constant and letting go of all my fears to finally bond with her. Her room is almost ready we moved the kids around and have them settled for now so I can have a room for Audrey to "put her stuff in!" I will, of course do more to the rooms, especially Kates because that is her forever room, everyone else will be moved again when we do the basement in a yr or two. I do think that the sunshine this last week or two has really effected me though, and made me happier! I guess in a nutshell, I felt my purpose so much, and am truly thankful to my Heavenly Father I got to be me, difficult "pear" shape and all!
